A Lumberjack Baby Shower

Our newest theme is making its first appearance at a baby shower! Designs by Vancette private design collections newest theme is making its first appearance at a baby shower! We had the pleasure of helping plan and decorate a baby boy shower using the Lumberjack theme. It was all about the details for the shower, making it a unified and complete shower down to the last detail. Starting with an online Facebook event invite, which we used the standard 5x7 invite for the first image and made a custom image for the top of the event. (these can be requested at the Etsy shop)

Next came planning of the food that would be served. Since Lumberjacks are known for their hearty eating we decided to plan a Chili Bar with all the fixings, as well as other snack items. Using the 8x10 Food Bar Sign to list the items at the Chili Bar and Lumberjack Snack sign to separate the chili bar from the snack portion of the table. Use wooded bowls and spoons to serve with as an addition Lumberjack feel of wood. We added food tents to create a creative and imaginative title for several of the snacks! Adding details is very important when you are planning the perfect shower or party. Our Lumberjack food tables included canvas and burlap table runners, pine cones randomly placed, cans for the silverware, even lanterns and a thermos were added for some variation of high on the tables. We didn't forget to used the Lumberjack Watering Hole sign and a large galvanized bucket for ice to the drink area of the shower.

Guest tables were set up with Mason jars, small amount of hay with a candle sitting on top of the hay. (Be careful when placing these, as you do not want to catch anything on fire!) The Mason Jars were set on top of a variety of sized wood slices, and solid red dish rag. We used hand towels and rags through out the guest tables and food serving tables. Adding the red Lumberjack feel to the room.

Don't forget to dress up the gift and game tables a little. Above you will see an added Lumberjack sign for guest to read, when they drop their gifts off at the table. Include a rustic basket for cards! The Doody "Game" is a great addition to a baby shower, and gives the parents to be a chuckle when the baby arrives. You will want to add a variety of sharpie marks for writing on the booty. Place the diapers in a rustic basket and don't forget to include the Doody sign for those extra add-ons. You can buy a variety of frames, baskets and serving items at The Dollar Tree. Lumberjack Bingo and Lumberjack Price is Right games were played during the shower. We even purchased Buffalo Sacks and Handmade soaps as prizes for the guest to win! A list of outside vendors can be found at the bottom of this blog. Get Creative with your next shower and plan down to the smallest detail! Need some help?
